The Denture Kitchen can take care of anything to do with dentures – let us go the extra mile with your new set of dentures, or if you have a problem with your old dentures let The Denture Kitchen provide logical, expert solutions to assist. Our services include new and replacement dentures, denture repairs, relines and modifications, custom mouth guards and implant retained dentures. We offer free, no obligation half hour consultations. Our use of modern techniques allows us to provide you with services that are unparalleled.
The Denture Kitchen is a registered provider for The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and we accept all health funds and have payment plans available to suit everyone to make getting that new set of teeth even easier!

We strive to achieve as close to perfection as possible with every set of dentures we create, with physiology being the only limit. We’ll keep you advised throughout treatment and do our best to predict outcomes, so you know exactly what to expect. You can only get this through experience.

Retaining the disciplines of denture fabrication that have been refined, taught and handed down is important to us. Today, impression materials and the techniques used to make traditional well-fitting dentures are at their peak—so why change? While the future of digital dentistry looks bright, we strive to put your wellbeing above all else and won’t use technology for technologies sake - because there are some things that computers just can’t do. Our approach to making dentures is the ‘old-school’ way. Hands on, hands down.
We also work closely with and receive referrals from dentists all over the Sunshine Coast. Our referring dentists are confident and trust that we’ll look after their patients with specialised care and attention in providing high quality dentures, and exceptional customer service.

Where We Operate
With our clinic located in the center of beautiful Maroochydore, we can provide our services to clients from all over the Sunshine Coast and surrounds.
Access to The Denture Kitchen is easy. We have on-site parking which you are welcome to use—just follow the driveway next to KaHuNa Massage off Duporth Ave. and park behind the building.
Disabled/wheelchair access is also from the rear of the building—just let us know over the phone if you require assistance.
Bus access is an easy stroll, and Uber/Taxi’s operate locally. There is plenty of car parking surrounding our clinic. If you need assistance with taxi’s and DVA transport—just let us know over the phone and we can help!
We are walking distance from beaches, restaurants and coffee shops—so if you need to stick around while we repair your denture or wait around for the next stage of treatment, there’s plenty to do! Why not grab a coffee and browse through the records at Wax Build Up? Or get a haircut from our local barbers at Ratbags? You might even like to sit and relax at the Sneaky Baron for a beer afterwards. The Sunshine Plaza is also only a 5-minute walk away.
Decades of Experience
Thomas Shanahan is the owner, Principle prosthetist and technician at The Denture Kitchen. Tom started working in the dental industry in 1998, starting out as a high school student working as an after-hours dental technician before he began working in private dental practices after finishing high school. Coming from a family of 3 other dental prosthetists, Tom caught the love of dental technology early on.
From those early days, he knew what he wanted to do professionally. He dedicated himself to education and improvement, becoming a qualified dental technician in 2003 and furthering to become a qualified dental prosthetist in 2013. Throughout his career he has learned from well-respected mentors in the field and worked alongside his brother for over 12 years to help him establish a flourishing denture clinic.
In July 2019, the opportunity arose for Tom to pursue his own dental dream and take over Duporth Denture Clinic which had been established for 10 years, previously owned by Mr. Bradley Hills. When Bradley approached Tom to take ownership of the clinic, he didn’t just want to pass his clinic over to anyone—he wanted to know his existing patients were in good hands and could maintain the quality of service and dentures Bradley was providing. Since re-branding to The Denture Kitchen, Tom has continued to serve previous and new clients and welcomes the opportunity to be a part of the community for a long time to come.
With over 20 years of professional experience in the dental industry, Tom places a high value on creating high-quality dental appliances with integrity and serving up honesty with a friendly face to every client.
